How do I change how I respond to stress and lower my Stress Level?
I have developed sound methods not exactly dealing with stress, including smoking. I mention this because the need to smoke a cigarette is one of the largest flag I'm under a lot too much stress. Work, money, eat well, difficult people, traffic, breaking things around the house, bad news, etc. .. I do not necessarily want be able to handle more stress. I started a diary where I noticed things that I find Stressful, and noted according to how they are Stressful and the degree of control that I have on them. I am open to all answers, even Pollyanna and (non-Fundie) religious. Looking advice on the path to a better stress management really involves. Any good books you could suggest, too. Thank you in advance.
Exercise is a proven method to relieve stress. Regular exercise will make you Less Stress subjects in general, and exercise after a Stressful incident can Help you relax. Massage is also surprisingly good - I really recommend it myself - If it can be costly to book a professional course. But worth it! And 'out' type music Chill. I know these are all very obvious - but they all work well.
